The spirit of innovation in manufacturing is inextricably linked with Yorkshire’s rich industrial heritage and AME is proud to be involved with product design in the yorkshire region.

Yorkshire-based firms come to us not only for our second-to-none, specialist services in product design and swift and accurate prototyping, but because they know we understand exactly where they are coming from. We find they appreciate the cost-effectiveness of our solutions and also having the option to work with us on a face-to-face basis that little bit more often.

The list of our clients drawn from the surrounding area reflects the real mix of product design projects we’ve lent our skills to as we have grown since setting up in Yorkshire back in 1996, and then later moving to Dinnington, where our workshops are based on the former site of a colliery.

Tunstall Healthcare are a market leading provider of telehealthcare products and services which help bridge the gap between health, housing and social care. They have their headquarters in Whitely, but operate in over 40 countries around the world. We have worked with Tunstall’s in-house team to design and develop a new door entry and access control unit to help people live independently.

Morphy Richards. Based in Mexborough, Morphy Richards are a household name when it comes to appliances. We were asked to implement new technology they had developed for a new single level, individual-compartment food steamer. The result is a stunning product challenging the traditional idea of a steamer.

Fellowes. We’ve been involved in several projects with the Doncaster-based UK operation of the multi-national manufacturer of home and office workspace products. As one example, AME designed Fellowes’ Smart Suites range of office workstations which make working more comfortable, organised and productive. Fellowes has gone on to sell over one million units worldwide and the collection is one of the biggest-selling in their portfolio.

In addition, we’ve worked with one of the world’s greatest consumer goods companies, Unilever collaborating with their regional research and development facilities to develop packaging lines.
