With over 10 years in the market the Irwin handsaw, design and developed by AME has stood the test of time.

Irwin approached AME to redesign their entry-level handsaw following a continued loss in market share and falling sales. AME responded by generating a new saw handle design with refreshed aesthetics, improved ergonomics and the ability to apply the design over a number of saw variants. The new design used two-shot moulding with a soft TPE rubber to improve comfort and grip - something that was previously only used on premium products, whilst still achieving a low cost of manufacture.

The saws were launched to great success and it is testament to the design that the Irwin handsaw range has been on the market for over 10 years and is still available today.
