Challenging the traditional food steamer, Morphy Richards employed AME Group to implement the new technology they had developed for a single level, individual compartment steamer into a viable product solution.

AME responded to the brief by creating a range of aesthetic and ergonomic solutions, analysing the best method of implementing the technology. The chosen concept was then engineered in CAD with constant consideration of manufacturing capabilities. This was then validated through prototypes prior to final refinement suitable for high volume manufacture.

Throughout the project it was critical that the design solution was achievable within a specified cost for manufacture as well as brought to market as quickly as possible. Our team ensured the product design was ready on time and by working closely with toolmakers and moulders also ensured the target cost of manufacture was met.
